Join us for an in-depth two-day remote training session on Oasis montaj Fundamentals, designed to equip geophysicists, geologists, and other professionals with the essential skills needed to leverage this powerful software. This course will guide you through the core functionalities of Oasis montaj, ensuring you can efficiently process, visualise, and interpret geophysical data. You'll gain the knowledge to take your projects to the next level through hands-on exercises, presentations, and live demonstrations.
What You'll Learn:
- Getting Started: Learn how to navigate the Oasis montaj interface, create new projects, and manage data effectively.
- Data Management: Understand how to work with databases and coordinate systems, import and export data, and utilize various data formats.
- Mapping and Visualisation: Discover how to create detailed maps, grids, and 3D models to visualize your data.
- Advanced Tools: Explore advanced features such as filtering databases, creating sections, and using analytical tools to enhance data interpretation.
Who Should Attend:
This course is specifically designed for geophysicists, geologists, and other professionals involved in the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of geophysical data. It is particularly beneficial for those working with magnetic and gravity survey data. Whether you are new to Oasis montaj or looking to refresh your skills, this training will provide valuable insights and practical knowledge.
It is particularly useful for those working in:
- Mineral Exploration: Conducting surveys to identify and map mineral deposits, assess the potential of mining sites, and support exploration drilling programs.
- Geotechnical Investigations: Carrying out surveys to evaluate soil and rock properties, identify geological hazards, and support the planning and design of construction projects.
- Environmental Assessments: Performing surveys to monitor environmental changes, assess the impact of industrial activities, and detect contamination or pollution in soil and water.
- Hydrogeology: Analysing subsurface water flow and distribution, assessing groundwater resources, and monitoring contamination.
- Archaeological Surveys: Mapping and detecting subsurface archaeological features and artefacts.
Prerequisites:
Participants should have a basic understanding of geophysical principles and some experience with geophysical data. Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic computer skills are also recommended.
Why Attend:
By the end of this course, you'll have a solid understanding of Oasis montaj's capabilities and be able to apply these skills to your projects, improving your geophysical data analysis efficiency and accuracy. Attendees will gain confidence and knowledge in using Oasis montaj with comprehensive session notes, common workflow ‘cheat sheets’, and a certificate of completion.
Seequent will provide 14-day software training subscription for the training event.
