This workshop introduces the newest capabilities in Leapfrog Geo and Edge for mineral resource estimation. The resource estimation will be done via Seequent Evo, focusing on how the latest updates support faster workflows, improved geological reasoning, multidomain estimation, and integrated cloud collaboration. Participants will learn how to create defensible resource estimates that delivers not only satisfactory reconciliation but adds enormous value to mining and exploration projects. They will also learn new tools on how to streamline workflows and enhance collaboration.
We will cover the following during the training:
1. Leapfrog Edge: What’s New for Estimation This will focus on the latest features and enhancements in Leapfrog Edge that have been introduced to improve the resource estimation process. Including:
- Data prep, statistics, visualisation & analysis upgrades
- Faster multidomain estimation
2. Improved Estimation Techniques and Workflows
This section will delve into more advanced and practical applications of Leapfrog Edge for tackling complex estimation challenges. Including:
- Reviewing your estimation setup and making bulk edits using the parameter report
- Using domain orientation information directly from Geological models in estimation
3. Collaborative and Cloud-Powered Workflows with Seequent Evo
We will introduce Seequent Evo and demonstrate how its cloud-based functionality can be integrated with Leapfrog Edge to enhance resource estimation workflows. Including:
- Evo functionality for resource estimation
- Cloud- desktop Leapfrog workflows
- Block model management with BlockSync
- Collaborative review & reporting
The course is capped to ensure a quality training experience for all participants. Once the registration limit is reached, additional registrants will be added to a waitlist and notified if a spot becomes available.
We require a minimum number of attendees to deliver the course. In the event of low registrations, the course will be postponed or cancelled. We do not offer refunds or compensation on personal expenses.
Jacob is a geoscientist who has worked in the mineral exploration and mining industry since 2006 within West and East Africa. Starting as a project exploration geologist, Jacob contributed immensely to the discovery and development of gold projects in Guinea and Senegal that are now producing mines. Leveraging on his experience on greenfield gold and bauxite projects, Jacob enjoys starting projects from grassroots through to discovery and development. He worked as a production mine geologist in 2010, where he was involved in 3D modelling, production geology and grade control. Jacob joined Seequent in 2022 where he’s been involved in helping clients resolve challenges related to modelling, resource estimation and project assistance.
