Mastering SLOPE/W: Assessing Slope Stability with the Compound Strength Material Model
In October's GeoStudio TechTalk - Mastering SLOPE/W: Assessing Slope Stability with the Compound Strength Material Model - we will demonstrate the use of the updated compound strength material model to represent soil or rock with weak layers.
This webinar will be run in English at 12pm and 8pm EDT.

Mastering SLOPE/W: Assessing Slope Stability with the Compound Strength Material Model
Join Seequent's Kathryn Dompierre for this free webinar, which reviews:Â Â
◾ An overview of the compound strength material model;Â
â—¾ The definition of this material model in a simple SLOPE/W road cut analysis;Â
◾ A demonstration of a rock slope stability analysis with complex faulting and stratigraphy; andÂ
◾ The use of the Cuckoo Search method for defining slip surfaces.Â

Kathryn Dompierre completed a M.Sc. in environmental policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Ph.D. in civil engineering at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, Canada). Her doctoral research explored the movement of pore water, contaminants, and energy through oil sands fine tailings using field testing and numerical analyses. She joined the GeoStudio engineering team in 2016, and now manages the learning and technical content related to GeoStudio.
