In this course, we will explore the surface controls, such as resolution, snapping and intrusion value clipping, and the different editing options, such as incorporating additional data types into the surface, applying global and structural trends and editing with polylines and points, to manipulate geological model surfaces.
This course is presented in Leapfrog Geo, but the same tools and workflows covered are also applicable in Leapfrog Energy and Leapfrog Works.
Looking to take your Leapfrog Geo skills to the next level? This instructor-led advanced training course on Leapfrog’s implicit modelling tools is for you.
During this course, you will learn:
• Why we need to edit surfaces
• Common surface issues and potential fixes
• How to make quick edits to surfaces by adjusting resolution
• Changing the surface resolution of the entire GM or individual surfaces
• Different types of data snapping and the resulting changes to surfaces
• How to manipulate category compositing to edit surface continuity
• The significance of volume points, their adjustable parameters and the effect on surfaces
• Value clipping parameters and their effect on output volume
• How to define different kinds of trends and where they are appropriately used
• The types of data available to add to various types
• Contrasting methods for adding data to a vein surface
• The pros and cons of using manual polyline edits to refine surfaces.
