Leapfrog Works Fundamentals - Remote - November 2025

New to Leapfrog Works or just looking for a refresher? Join us in this instructor-led remote course to learn the fundamental concepts and tools necessary to get you going in Leapfrog, including data import and visualisation, geological and numeric modelling workflows, dynamic model updating, output generation, data and model management and collaboration with Central, and model sharing.


This course will be delivered as 4-hour sessions run over the course of 4 days (4 x 4hr = 16 hr total).


To make the most of this course, please ensure you have a stable internet connection, and a secondary screen is highly recommended.


To ensure a quality training experience for all participants, courses are capped at 10 attendees. Once the registration limit is reached, additional registrants will be added to a waitlist and notified if a spot becomes available.


In this training, we will:
• Explore the Leapfrog Works interface
• Import an array of data types
• Discuss modelling strategy
• Build a geological model from borehole data using a variety of surface types
• Explicit editing of surfaces with trends, points, and polylines
• Quickly validate a first-pass build of a geologic model
• Quantify lithologic volumes
• Incorporate design files
• Dynamically update model with new borehole data
• Generate cross sections along an alignment
• Numerical Modelling
• Borehole Planning
• Export compatible data types to be used in various software packages
• Create a 3D model from a geologic map
• Model dense CPT data

This course may count toward continuing education and professional development hours.

Geoff Plastow

Senior Geophysicist

Seequent

Geoff is a professional Geophysicist with 15 years’ experience in mining exploration and applied geophysics.

Geoff has an educational background in Computer Science and Geophysics. He started his career processing and interpreting near-surface seismic data contributing to the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program in Canada.


Moving into exploration Geopshyics, he has experience with airborne and ground geophysical data specializing in Electromagnetic, Potential Fields and Radiometric techniques.


Geoff has been using Oasis montaj for over 10 years and is an active member of the Geophysical community and the Geosoft GX Development Community.


In 2018 Geoff joined Seequent and is based in Vancouver, Canada. In his current role as Senior Geophysicist he contributes to training, project assistance, and supporting users globally.
