This course allows new users to get familiar with Leapfrog Works, covering essential workflows for preparing, importing, and managing borehole and other project data. Participants will learn to build, edit, and refine geological models, create surfaces from various data types, and dynamically update models. Outputs include geological and numeric models, output volumes, and project data exports.
New to Leapfrog Works or just looking for a high level overview? This learning plan is designed for new users of Leapfrog Works who are interested in how it can be applied to geotechnical, environmental, and/or civil projects.
Join us to learn the fundamental concepts and tools necessary to get you going in Leapfrog, including data import and visualisation, geological and numeric modelling workflows, dynamic model updating, and output generation.
This course will be delivered as 4-hour sessions run over the course of 2 days (2 x 4hr = 8 hr total).
To ensure a quality training experience for all participants, courses are capped at 10 attendees. Once the registration limit is reached, additional registrants will be added to a waitlist and notified if a spot becomes available.
In this training, we will use a dataset to:
-Explore the Leapfrog Works interface and navigate the 3D scene.
I-mport and manage an array of data types including borehole data, topography, design files (CAD, LandXML), GIS data, geophysical grids, points, maps, and images.
- Apply best practices for preparing borehole data and correcting common data errors.
- Build a geological model from borehole data using Deposit, Erosion, Vein, and Intrusion surface types.
- Define a surface chronology to generate and quantify lithologic volumes.
- Dynamically update a geological model with new borehole data.
- Plan new boreholes and review the drilling prognosis.
I- Integrate design files (e.g., a tunnel design) with your geological model.
- Explore combined models to understand the volumes of materials requiring excavation.
- Export data and model outputs.
Seequent will provide a 21‑day software training subscription for the training event. Please note that some enterprise accounts are not eligible for these training subscriptions.
