Join us in this instructor-led remote course to learn the basic concepts and tools necessary to get you going in Leapfrog Geothermal, including data import and visualisation, geological and numeric modelling workflows, dynamic model updating, output generation, data and model management and collaboration with Central.
What will the course cover?
A 6-hour interactive session covering:
- Basic functions and workflows
- Navigating the user interface
- Importing and visualising well data
- Creating a topography surface
- Basic geological modelling
- Dynamic model updating
An extended 2-hour demonstration of advanced features:
During this session we will demonstrate some of the advanced Leapfrog features such as numerical and flow modelling, well planning and others. This session will be a demonstration only.
Ollie is an exploration geoscientist with a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry working in the field internationally with WesternGeco, the geophysical wing of Schlumberger.
Initially focused on acquiring, processing, and interpreting seismic reflection data, he diversified his skillset by joining the Seequent Energy team. He now develops and teaches robust Leapfrog modelling workflows for high-enthalpy and low-temperature geothermal, offshore windfarm projects, CO2 and H2 storage, and Lithium brine extraction.
Additionally, Ollie manages Seequent’s Energy customer base in the EMEA region and provides technical advice concerning Seequent’s Geophysical solutions. He is a member of the PESGB, EAGE, SEG, AAPG, and is a Fellow of the Geological Society and part of the WING UK committee.Â
Vaiva is the Customer Solutions Specialist for Geothermal & Hydro at Seequent. She has worked as a hydrogeologist in the environmental and geothermal projects across Lithuania, Iceland and Spain. She started modelling in Leapfrog in 2016 and has been using Leapfrog to facilitate groundwater numerical simulations.
