The session provides a clear and practical overview of geothermal systems through the concept of geothermal plays, and how these plays and their transition into reservoir models using Volsung. Rather than focusing on a detailed, step‑by‑step workflow, the emphasis is on demonstrating how a strong geological interpretation can be transformed into a dynamic system representation, integrating key elements such as boundary conditions, heat sources, flow patterns, and structural controls. Through simplified examples, it illustrates how different types of systems can be conceptualised and represented in a reservoir model, enabling a better understanding of geothermal behaviour.
