The workshop is tailored towards practitioners in the industry to provide a good understanding on the use of PLAXIS 3D for the finite element analysis of pile raft foundations. This in-person training organized in partnership with Terrasol-Setec will review the most-common practical aspects of modelling and designing pile foundation
This 1-day instructor-led course considers the latest PLAXIS 3D development in the field of pile raft foundations.
The course content includes:
• Mastering the fundamental modelling features related to piles in PLAXIS 3D
• Optimally choosing the Finite Element (FE) model input parameters (constitutive soil behavior, volume piles vs embedded piles)
• Methodology and presentation of the different design steps in relation with FE Analysis – Interactions with the standard requirements (Eurocodes, BS, etc.) and Soil-Structure-Interaction principles for the design of piled foundations (pile group, piled rafts, ...)
The event is organized with the support of Terrasol-Setec who will share their practical experience of PLAXIS in modelling and designing high rise building foundation.
The workshop consists of 8 hours. It will be held by senior PLAXIS and Terrasol-Setec consultants with years of practical experience in deep foundation modelling and design. The mixture of lectures and hands-on computer analyses making the workshop more than just a software training and the presence of internationally recognized experts in the field is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge in the use of advanced numerical methods in geotechnical engineering in relation with current design practices.
Training attendees must bring their own laptops with the appropriate versions of PLAXIS installed (PLAXIS 3D V22). The latest software version will be sent to all participants once registered.
Complimentary temporary license keys will be provided to all course participants for the entire event duration to run the many proposed hands-on exercises properly.
 $450 USD
($375 USD if attending Practical Use of PLAXIS 2D for Deep Excavations)
